Pediatric Care Q&A

What is pediatric care?

Pediatric care is one of the urgent care services available at All Valley Urgent Care. The practice includes first-rate providers who manage the health needs of all ages, including infants, children, and teens.

All Valley Urgent Care is a full-service practice that offers all the medical care necessary to manage pediatric injuries and illnesses. The providers focus on getting you and your child in as quickly as possible but never rush through care.

Their goal is to manage your child’s urgent health issues and provide the right treatment so your child feels better quickly.

What are urgent pediatric care conditions?

Children get sick and injure themselves frequently, and not all health problems need medical attention. All Valley Urgent Care provides pediatric care for all types of illnesses and injuries and recommends you come in for care for your child for any of the following:

  • Abrasions
  • Dog bites
  • Burns
  • Broken bones and dislocations
  • Cuts, scrapes, and lacerations
  • Sprains and strains
  • Tick removal
  • Wart removal
  • Cold and cough
  • Flu
  • Eye infections
  • Earache
  • COVID-19
  • Allergic reactions
  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation
  • Sore throat
  • Tooth pain
  • Fever
  • Nosebleeds

All Valley Urgent Care also provides physical exams for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, camp, school, and sports.

If your child has a head injury or severe bleeding, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you’re not sure if your child has an urgent care or emergency room health condition, call All Valley Urgent Care for guidance.

What can I expect during pediatric care?

You can expect patient-centered pediatric care during your All Valley Urgent Care visit. After a brief wait in the waiting room, you and your child are taken into an exam room.

Your provider reviews your health concerns and your child’s medical history. They perform a physical exam and may run tests to confirm or rule out a diagnosis. All Valley Urgent Care offers on-site X-rays, lab tests, and culture tests.

Once they have a diagnosis, your provider talks to you about their recommendations, performs any necessary treatments, writes prescriptions, and provides instructions for at-home care.

If needed, your provider refers your child to a specialist.
